Is RF Microneedling painful?
No, RF microneedling is not painful. As patients have indicated, there are some small discomforts involved within the treatment, but with the application of topical anesthetics and the additional use of cool air, ventilation provides comfort during a session.
Can it be used on all skin types?
Yes. Compared to other laser treatments, RF microneedling utilizes only radiofrequency energy. The microneedles are designed to precisely deliver the pulse towards the dermis tissues. Visually, there is no thermal damage made to the epidermis and almost removes completely any risks of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation on dark skin types.
Is there downtime after the procedure?
Patients should expect minimal to almost no downtime and a few restrictions required after the following radio micro-needling treatment. The area treated may become red within 24 hours. However, a much more aggressive treatment, depending on the desired outcome, will increase downtime.
How many treatments will I need?
Obvious results are visually seen after just one treatment. However, it is suggested to go through a series of 3 treatments for optimal results. Each treatment is made within a span of 4 weeks apart.
Is RF microneedling considered safe?
Yes. Patients are exposed to low levels of man-made radio frequencies on a daily basis. Devices such as TV, WiFi, and phones are one of the many examples of frequencies are exposed to. Studies have shown possible known risks with RF are the potential burns made from thermal heating effects for people under the influence of high doses. However, RF microneedling procedure uses a minimal amount of RF required under trained skincare specialists in order to ensure the best results possible along your behalf.
What is the difference between Vivace and Pixel 8 Treatments?
Both treatments are powered by Radio Frequency and Microneedling. The Vivace is a better fit for some guests where the PiXel 8 is better for others. While both devices can be used to achieve the same goals. The specific needle size and depth can be varied depending on the device. The Vivace uses the da Vinci robot arm to deliver precise therapy. The PiXel 8 offers insulated and non-insulated needles where Vivace only offers insulated needs. They are both very effective and your Well Labs+ Medspa technician will guide you to the service that is best for you. They will do this during your complementary consultation based on your unique goals and health history. Both options generally require more than one treatment to reach your optimum results. We generally start with a package of three treatments spaced approximately a month apart.
What is the Vivace Experience?
The Vivace Experience® Boost Serum is a triple-peptide lubricating gel that helps heal the target area after microneedling. It helps to soothe discomfort by reducing skin tightness and speeding skin rejuvenation. Your technician at Well Labs+ Medspa will apply the Boost Serum to your skin immediately following treatment. This helps keep your skin soft, supple, and flexible while new collagen develops. You will also be given Boost Serum to use at home for up to one week following treatment. This topical product, used daily, can speed collagen growth, reduce skin redness, and increase your comfort after the microneedling procedure. The proprietary Vivace® Soothe Mask combines Binterin (CD99) peptides with a cooling fluid to reduce skin irritation, swelling, and redness following surface skin treatments such as microneedling.
